Photographing a Civil War reenactment involves capturing the action of the battle but it also means looking for individual faces.
At an opportune moment I moved in as close as I could to get some portraits. When I spotted this gentlemen I knew I wanted his face. Other people were nearby and occasionally blocking my view. And I also wanted the right expression. I took several photos but it took a while before I got just the look I wanted. Patience is often the key. Keep shooting.
