This superbly done documentary inspires me as a photographer. There is something about Adams, his photography, his life, his struggles, his inner conflicts and how he dealt with them, his evident gifts, his determination, and his sense of commitment that speak to me.
This PBS American Experience documentary was put together by Ric Burns. In addition to including many of Ansel’s classic images, there are a lot of photos of Adams and his family that you won’t see anywhere else. Interviews with family, friends, and associates fill out the picture of the man behind the camera.
This is a low res version of the documentary. If you want to have a high res version you can order it from Amazon via the link in the Photography DVDs section of my photography store.
