I was taking our dog for a walk through our neighborhood and looking at all of the fallen leaves. I stopped and took a picture of this cluster of leaves with my iPhone. I processed the photo with one of my favorite smart phone apps, Painteresque. It is my favorite photo for this date.
Photography workshop, OSU – Mansfield. October 14, 2017.
My second favorite image for October 14 was taken on the date of my last photography workshop for The Ohio State University at the Mansfield campus. With a cross country move to Iowa in my future, I decided not to schedule any 2018 workshops at OSU. My first photo workshop for OSU was in 2011 at Stone Laboratory on Gibraltar Island. I was sad to see a seven year series of workshops for OSU at two different locations come to an end. That made my photos on this date especially poignant. The red cups were used for a depth of field exercise.
