I was hurrying across Texas with places to go and things to do, when I spotted a patch of bluebonnets near the highway. I didn’t have much time for taking pictures, but I pulled off on the shoulder and grabbed my camera.
There were a few paintbrush flowers scattered among the bluebonnets. I picked one paintbrush with a small cluster of bluebonnets and took the picture. I jumped back in the car and I was on my way. This is my favorite photo for March 31.

The family was in California going through my mother-in-laws belongs and deciding what to do with everything. We heard a racket in the green space behind the back fence. Up in a tree we spotted this turkey. This is may second place favorite image for March 31.
