Mt. Sneffels, San Juan Mountains, Southwest Colorado. May 2, 2011.

On my way home from southern Utah I stopped to photograph one of my most favorite mountains. Mt. Sneffels is one of the most photographed mountains in Colorado, and justly so. I have used this spot on several locations in the morning and also in the middle of the night. A number of professional photographers and lots of amateurs have used this well known location. It is 6 miles west of Ridgway Colorado on CO Highway 62. One beautiful fall morning I was here with several other photographers when Kathleen Norris Cook showed up.
