When Sunny and I go for a walk, I usually let him determine the route. Most days he heads for his favorite park. On this walk I got down at his eye level to take a picture with my iPhone. This is one of my two most favorite photos for this date.
I was visiting family in Lamoni Iowa and decided to head out to Rose Hill Cemetery at sunset. Instead of the usual front lit photos that would render the U.S. flags usual red, white, and blue, I chose to backlight the flags with the sun. I ended up with this golden rendition of American flags. This is one of my all time favorite flag photos, and my other most favorite photo for May 27.
I was staying in Lamoni with our son Jared. While I was there I spotted this spider living in their kitchen. Jared and his family were careful not to hurt the spider when they were in the kitchen. They happen to be a very spider tolerant family. Most spiders living in our homes are beneficial. Two days later, as you will learn in my May 29 favorite photo article, I discovered our son in Kansas also had a spider living in their house with their permission. This is one of my favorite photos for May 27.
