Bishop’s Bog in Portage Michigan is one of my favorite nature preserves in southwest Michigan. There is almost always something interesting to photograph from spring through fall.
I was walking the bog trail which is made out of plastic decking material to keep your feet dry. It works except right after a heavy rain and then you will probably get your feet wet.
I found what I was looking for, several Pink Ladyslipper Orchids in bloom. I set up my tripod and photo gear and went to work. This is one of my two most favorite photos for May 31, and one of my all time favorite flower photos.
If you are near Portage Michigan, Bishop’s Bog is a great place for nature photography closeups.
Today was our grandson’s first baseball game. He came up to the plate, hit a solid single down the third base line and headed for first base. This is my other most favorite photo for this date.
Three more hits by Terran’s team and he crossed home plate to score. This is one of my favorite photos for this date.
Speaking of flowers, we were walking the neighborhood with some friends in Hilliard Ohio when I spotted these primrose blossoms. I took a picture with my iPhone. The ant was an added plus. This is one of my favorite photos for this date.
