It was a beautiful summer day at Lake Michigan, It was 9:23 pm when I took this sunset photo, not long before the sun disappeared.
At 9:36 pm I turned around and took this picture.
At 9:58 pm, 22 minutes later, I turned around again and took this picture. It isn’t every day that a nature photographer decides to be an art model. This just happened to be that day.

We decided a better looking tree would make for a better image. We found this downed birch tree which is much more interesting. The time was 10:04 pm, 41 minutes after the sunset photo. It was much darker in the woods than you would guess from this image. I had to crank up the ISO to 2500 and use a 10 second exposure to capture this image. Some of the branches were blowing in the slight breeze.
Photo Data, Brittany, Birch Tree. Canon 5D Mark III. Canon EF 24-105mm lens at 47mm. f/11, 10 seconds, ISO 2500.
