Ohio State University is again offering the photography workshop “Capturing the Wonder of the Outdoors”. Spend a fun and exciting weekend on Lake Erie’s Gibraltar Island while learning to take your outdoor photography to the next level. The workshop is August 10-12, 2012 and there is still time to register.
You’ll receive both one-on-one “real time†instruction in the field, as well as intensive classroom preparation. In the classroom sessions, you will learn the simple steps that make the difference between ordinary snapshots and extraordinary photos. Minutes later you will be outside practicing those steps with the help of the workshop instructors. You will receive individual, practical, coaching. Best of all, you will go home knowing how to create eye-catching images!
Jeremy Bruskotter and Jim Doty will cover a wide range of topics designed to be useful both to advanced amateurs, as well as newcomers to outdoor photography. Topics Include:
- Seeing Like Your Camera Sees (And Not Like Your Eyes)
- Metering – The First Big Step Toward Great Images
- The Magic of Depth of Field – The Doorway to Dramatic Images
- It’s All About Time – Creating Images That Your Eyes Can’t See
- Landscapes Great and Small
- From Birds to Bears – Wildlife Photography in Ohio and Beyond
- Creating Beautiful Flower Images
- Outdoor Photography as Fine Art – Don’t just Capture…Envision!
