Sunset Light on El Capitan

We spent most of the Christmas holiday in the Bay Area visiting family.  When we left the Bay Area the morning of December 30, 1990, we decided to make a side trip to Yosemite before making the long drive home.

Our car was acting up by the time we arrived in Yosemite Valley. Fortunately for us the auto repair shop is open 7 days a week. We spent the day in Yosemite Village while they worked on our car. It was late afternoon when our car was finally fixed so we had just a little time to drive around the valley, see the sights, and for me to take pictures.

We all thought Yosemite was spectacular.

El Capitan in the Moonlight.

Before we left I took a few more photos of El Capitan in the moonlight. We drove out of Yosemite Valley, stopped for a late supper, and found a place to stay for the night. Our first trip to Yosemite was 34 years ago today. The next morning we headed east on the four day drive home. I was hooked on Yosemite.
