This TED talk by Sarah Kay isn’t all about photography. That comes at about the half way point after the song and astronaut poem. Sarah takes the story of the photographers in her family, from WWII to the fall of the Twin Towers, and turns it into a beautiful, evocative poem. You can skip ahead to the photography poem (the intro to the poem begins at 6:40), but I think you will find the whole talk worth while.
